Classification terms
Category
A defined grouping of information within the Wexenleigh system. Each category has a label that describes its subject matter and a consistent presentation format for the content it contains. Users can navigate between categories using the interface's navigation tools.
Classification
The process by which information is assigned to a category. Classification is carried out by the Wexenleigh team based on the content type and subject area of each item. Users cannot reclassify content themselves, but they can raise classification questions through the enquiry channel.
Content type
A label applied to individual items within a category, indicating the nature of the information. Content types allow users to distinguish between different kinds of material within the same category, such as reference information, procedural descriptions, or contextual notes.
Subcategory
A more specific grouping within a category. Subcategories allow the system to organise content at a finer level of detail without requiring users to navigate an excessively large main category. Not all categories have subcategories; this depends on the volume and variety of available content.
Navigation terms
Section
A navigable area of the Wexenleigh interface, typically corresponding to a category or a group of related categories. Sections are accessible from the interface's main navigation and from internal links within the content.
Browse
To move through the available content within a section or category without a specific item in mind. Browsing allows users to gain an overview of what is available in a given area of the system.
Locate
To find a specific item or type of content within the system, typically by navigating to the relevant category and then identifying the item within it. The system's labelling and consistent presentation are designed to make locating specific material as straightforward as possible.
Navigation label
The visible text associated with a link or menu item within the interface. Navigation labels are intended to describe the destination accurately so that users can move through the system with confidence about where each link leads.
Access terms
Access request
A formal request submitted via the enquiry channel, asking for access to the Wexenleigh system or to a specific area within it. Access requests are reviewed individually by the support team. Submitting a request does not automatically result in access being granted.
Confirmed access
Access that has been reviewed and approved by the Wexenleigh support team. Users with confirmed access are provided with the relevant information about how to proceed. The conditions and scope of confirmed access may vary depending on the nature of the original request.
Access pathway
The sequence of steps involved in requesting and receiving access to the Wexenleigh system. The pathway typically includes reviewing available documentation, submitting an enquiry, responding to any clarification requests from the team, and receiving confirmation of the outcome.
Support terms
Enquiry
A message submitted to the Wexenleigh support team via the enquiry form or by direct email. An enquiry may concern a general question, a request for access, a technical issue, or any other matter related to the platform. The team reviews all enquiries and aims to respond as resources allow.
Clarification request
A follow-up message from the support team asking for additional information about an enquiry or access request. The team may issue a clarification request when the original enquiry does not contain enough detail for a response to be prepared. Responding to a clarification request is not obligatory, but it typically helps the team to provide a more useful reply.
Support team
The group of people at Wexenleigh Systems Ltd responsible for reviewing enquiries, managing access requests, and maintaining the platform's content and structure. The support team can be reached at [email protected] or by post at the address listed in the footer of this site.
